What is the Emerging Scholars Imprint (ESI)?

There are very few sites that specifically encourage younger scholars to publish their opinions on complex issues. This open-access platform is for emerging scholars looking to comment on current affairs, generate wider interest in their areas of research and to start developing their professional publishing profile.

ESI wants to support discussions that help young postgraduates develop their critical and lateral thinking skills, please see our submission guidelines

Our peer review panel from across the globe along with a team of professional editors will work with you to develop your ideas and encourage a truly fact-based public discourse. Your views will be promoted through our growing network of universities in South Africa, across the African continent and through our international university partners.

ESI was started and is supported by the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Pretoria.
